I know we’ve never met before
but you’ve influenced me in a massive way… REALLY...
I was just like you when I started out as a Pre-K teacher 14 years ago too. Super dedicated, some would say too dedicated!
So I sacrificed my own time off and self-care to make all my own resources. It made a huge difference for the kids, they were so engaged, and I always had the best class.
But I was burning out. I was treading water, making all my own resources WHILE teaching.
Then one year, I switched schools and ended up in kindergarten, and it was the worst experience of my life.
So when I came back to pre-k, it felt different, I found myself again, and I was so grateful! I realized that I am not meant to teach ANY OTHER grade…
Hence the name, Made for Pre-K.
I LOVE pre-k and using CC! And CC comes so easy to me because that's the only way I was taught and observed: Studies, Hands-on investigations led by student's interests, Learning through play.
That experience has given me such empathy to relate to you, my friend, the teacher who feels lost and unsupported in their CC journey.
